RESOLUTION NO. 16-9219
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, DIRECTING THE CITY
MANAGER TO CONDUCT A FEASIBILTY STUDY ON
THE EXPENSE ASSOCIATED WITH THE TERMINATION
OF THE CURRENT LEASES FOR THE VEHICLES
PROVIDED TO COMMISSION MEMBERS AND THE COST
OF LEASING LESS EXPENSIVE VEHICLES WHERE
APPROPRIATE ; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF
RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS,The City is experiencing financial challenges; and
WHEREAS, It is in the best interest of the City to study the feasibility of
terminating the current leases for the vehicles provided to Commission members
and leasing less expensive vehicles where appropriate; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference;
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby directed to conduct a feasibility study
on terminating the current leases for the vehicles provided to Commission
members and leasing less expensive vehicles where appropriate.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect upon adoption by the City
Commission, and subject to the final approval by the State of Florida Financial
Oversight Board for the City of Opa-locka, FL.
