' WHEREAS, pursuant to the "Annexation of Uninhabited Terri- tory Act of 1g39," as amended, tYiere has beeri presented to the City Council of the City of Lynwood, California, a petition dated October 5, 1962, executed by Albert A. Sprechler, et al, requesting the annexa- tion of certain property lying on the South side of Lavinia Avenue �between Atlantic Avenue and Thorson Avenue, in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, and lying within the following described _ _ ._boundaries:. i , Beginning at a point in the northerly line of the � � Lynwood City boundary as said boundary existed on August 30, 1962, said point being distant North 71 West 772.06 feet and South 19 15x West 464.50 feet from the northeast corner of Lot•2, J.fJ. Bullis ' Tract as shown on map recorded'in Book 3, pages 612 and 613 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, � State of California; thence North 19 15t East 464.50 feet to the intersection of the center line of Lavinia Avenue, 60 feet wide, being the northerly line of Lot 2 of said tract; thence South 71° East 303,26 feet along said center line of �avinia Avenue; thence South 19 15� West 464.5o feet to the intersection of the� easterly prolongation of the said northerly Lynwood ' city boundarJ; thence North 71 West 303,26 feet along said prolongation and said Lynwood city boundary to the -1- , • � ., � . . point of beginning. ; WHEREAS, said territory is uninhabited, unincorporated territory contiguous to the City of L;�nwood, and ' WHEREAS, said petition is s;igned by the owners of not less than one-fourth of the area of land in such territor;� and representing • not less than one-fourth of the assessed value of such territory accord- ing to the last preceding equalized assessment roll of the County of Los Angeles, State of California, in which territory is situated, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: Section 1 . That pursuant to the "Annexation o£'Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939 as amended, the City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby gives notice of said proposed annexation. Section 2. Said territory is hereby designated for identi- £ication as "Atlantic Avenue Annexation No. 1." Section 3 . Said City Council hereb,y gives notice of and , £ixes the 4th day of December, 1962, at the hour of 7:30 p.m, in the Council 'Chambers in the C3ty Hall, ll330'Bullis Road, Lynwood, California, as the day, hour, and place when and where any person owning real property within such territory 5o proposed to be annexed and having any objections to the proposed annexation may appear before the Cit�i Council of said City of Lynwood and show cause why such ' territory should not be so annexed. Section 4 , The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a - copy of this resolution to be published once a week for two (2) successive weeks prior to said hearing, in the LJnwood Press, a news- paper of general circulation, printed and publiahed in said City of Lynwood, and also in the Herald American newspaper of general • circulation published outside of the City'of Lynwood but in the County in whieh is located_the territory proposed to be annexed. Section 5 , The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause written notice of such proposed anne�ation to be mailed to each person � to whom land within the territory proposed to be annexed is assessed in the last equalized county assessment roll at the address shown.on .. -2- said assessment roll, or as known to said Clerk, and to any person who has £iled his name and address and the designation of the lands in which he has any interest with said Clerk.
