' LYNWOOD GIVING NOTICE'OF PROPOSED AN�IVEXATION
� OF THAT CEHTAIN PROPERTY IN THE UNINCORPORATED
TERRITOt�Y QF THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES LYING �
ON TAE WEST SIDE OF ATLANTIC AVENUE'BETWEEN •
� FERNWOOD AVENUE AND JOSEPHINE STREET (FERNWOOD ''
AVENUE ANNEXATION N0. 1).

WHEREAS, pursuant to the."Annexation of IIninhabited Terri-
tory Act of 1939," as amended, there has been presented to the Citg
Council of the City of Lynwood, California, a petition dated October 21},
1962, executed by Jim W: Ruby, et al, requesting the annexation of
certain property lying on the west side of Atlantic 9venue between
Fernwood Avenue and Josephine Street, in the County of Los Angeles,
State of California, and lying within the following described
boundaries:
Beginning at a point in the southerly line of the Lynwood
city boundary, as said boundary existed on August 30, 1962,
�' said point bein� distant North 62 26� 15" West 30 .364 feet
and North 19 East 131};feet, more�or less, from the south-
� xest corner of Lot 8, Tract No. 8716-as ehowri on map recorded
• � in Book 145,,Pages 63 and_64 of Maps in the office of the
Recorder of Los Angele§ County, State of.California, said '
i point being also the intorsection of said soiztherly line with '
the northerly prolongation of the center line of First Avenue,
60 feet wide, as shown on said tract map; thence South
. 62 26� 15" East along said southerly line 325 feet to the
intersection of the center line of Atlantic Avenue, 90 feet
wide, as shown on said,tract map; thence South 19 West along
said last mentioned center line 389 fe'et to the intersection
of the easterly prolongation of the northerly line of
Josephine Street, 80 feet wide, shown as�Santa Ana Boulevard
on said tract,map;-therice North 71 07�,15" West along said

' of the center line of First Avenue, 60 feet xide, as shown
on said tract map; thence North.l9 East 138 feet along
said last mentioned center line to the point of beginning.
WHEREAS, said terr.itory is uninhabitad, unincorporated .
territory contiguous to the City of Lynwood, and
Y�TI�REAS, said petition is signed by the owners of not less
than one-fourth of the area of land in such territory and representing
not less than one-:ourth of the assessed value of such territory accord-
ing to the last preceding equalized assessment roll of the County of
Los Angeles, Sta.te of California, in which.territory is situated,
. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
8ection 1 . That pureuant to the "Annexation of IIninhabited
Territory Act of 1939�" as amended, the City Council of the City of
Lynwood hereby gives notice of said proposed annexation
' Section 2. Said territory is hereby designated for identi-
fication as "Fernwood Avenue Annexation No. 1."
Section 3. Said City Council hereby gives notice of and
fixes the 18th day of December, 1962, at the hour of 7:30 p.m. in the
Council Chambera in the City Hall, 11330 Bullis Road, Lynwood,
� . California, as the day, hour, and place when and where any person
, owning real property within such territory so proposed to be annexed
and having any ob�ections to the proposed attnexation may appear before
the City Council of�said City of Lyn�aood and show,cause why such
. . ,
territory should not be so annexed. -'
' Section 4. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a
_• copy of this resolution .to be published once a week for two (2)

in which is located the territory proposed to be annexed.
�Section . The City Qlerk is hereby directed to cause •
. written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to each person
� to whom land within the territory proposed to'be annexed is assessed .
in the last equalized county assessment roll at the address shown on
� said assessment"roll, or as known�to said Clerk, and to.,any.person
�who hes fiTed his name and address and the d esignation of the lands
' in which he has any interest with�said Clerk. � -
Seotion 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the adopti of �
this resolution. "
