RESOLUTION NO. 16-9221
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, DIRECTING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXPLORE AVAILABE GRANT FUNDING
OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE OPERATIONS OF THE
SOUTH ROUTE OF THE COMMUTER BUS SERVICE
CIRCULAR; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF
RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the south route of the commuter bus service circular has been
discontinued due to an expiration of funding; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City and its residents that the
operations of the south route of the commuter bus service circular resume; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference;
Section 2. The City Commission hereby directs the City Manager to explore
available grant funding opportunities for the operations of the south route of
the commuter bus service circular.
Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect upon adoption by the City
Commission, and subject to the final approval by the State of Florida Financial
Oversight Board for the City of Opa-locka, FL.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 13th day of July, 2016.
