SUBJECT: PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION ACTIONS -MEETING OF JULY 20, 2016 RECOMMENDATION: The City Council is requested to receive and file the Parks and Recreation Commission actions from their meeting of July 20, 2016. BACKGROUND: On July 20 , 2016, the Parks and Recreation Commission held their regularly scheduled meeting. ANALYSIS: Following is a summary of actions taken at the July 20, 2016 Parks and Recreation Commission meeting: 1. ROLL CALL: Present: Commissioner-Baroldi, Haddad, Vance, Vice-Chairman Georgina, Chairman Rosso Absent: Commissioner -None Excused: Commissioner-None 2. REORGANIZATION OF COMMISSION The Parks and Recreation Commission reorganized electing Commissioner Georgina as Chairman and Commissioner Baroldi as Vice-Chairman . City Council August 2, 2016 Page 2 of 2 3. CONSENT CALENDAR The Parks and Recreation Commission approved the minutes of the June 15, 2016 meeting and received and filed the monthly report for June 2016. 4. UNFINISHED BUSINESS-None 5. NEW BUSINESS A. UPDATE ON LIVE OAK PARK WALKING PATH AND TEMPLE CITY VETERAN'S MEMORIAL PROJECTS The Commission received and filed the update from staff on the Live Oak Park Walking Path Project and the Temple City Veteran's Memorial Project. 6. MA TIERS FROM CITY OFFICIALS A. The Commission received the Parks and Recreation Director's Report for July 2016. CITY STRATEGIC GOALS: Approval of the Commission actions of July 20, 2016 furthers the City's Strategic Goal of Citizen Education and Communication. FISCAL IMPACT: This item does not have an impact on the Fiscal Year (FY) 2016-17 City Budget.
