CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO.01-49
RESOLUTION CERTIFYING
THE PROPOSED PROPERTY TAX LEVY FOR 2002
WHEREAS, city staff has prepared a preliminary budget for the operations of the City of
Medina for the calendar year 2002; and
WHEREAS, the Medina City Council has determined that a property tax levy in the amount of
$1,436,219 is necessary to meet the needs outlined in the preliminary budget;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council adopt a preliminary tax levy
of $1,436,219 for taxes payable in 2002 and that this amount be certified to the Hennepin
County Auditor as required by Minnesota State Statutes.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Jim Lane
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Ferris, Lane, Smith, and Workman
and the following voted against same: Zietlow
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
