RESOLUTION NO. 16-9228
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, APPOINTING YVETTE
HARRELL AS CITY MANAGER; PROVIDING FOR
INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on July 27, 2016, David Chiverton issued a memorandum
advising the City Commission that effective August 1, 2016, he would be resigning
as the City Manager for the City of Opa-locka, Florida; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Chivertori s resignation has become effective; and
WHEREAS, Yvette Harrell has been serving as acting City Manager since
May 18, 2016; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission believes that it is in the best interest of the
City to appoint Yvette Harrell as City Manager; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference;
Section 2. Yvette Harrell is hereby appointed City Manager.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect upon adoption, and is subject to
the final approval by the State of Florida Financial Oversight Board for the City of
Opa-locka, FL.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of August, 2016.
