RESOLUTION NO. 16-9230
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF OPA LOCKA, FLORIDA, DIRECTING THE
CITY MANAGER TO PURSUE BRIDGE LOAN FROM MIAMI-
DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, THE STATE OF FLORIDA, AND
ANY OTHER LENDING INSTITUTIONS; PROVIDING FOR
INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, The City of Opa-locka, Florida, is experiencing a financial
emergency; and
WHEREAS, The City is in need of financial assistance in the form of a bridge
loan; and
WHEREAS, The City Commission believes that it is in its best interest to pursue
a bridge loan from Miami-Dade County, Florida, the State of Florida, and any other
lending institutions, to assist with its financial recovery.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF OPA LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference;
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby directed to pursue a bridge loan from
Miami-Dade County, Florida, the State of Florida, and any other lending
institutions, to assist with its financial recovery.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
