WHEREAS, The City is in the process of installing public utilities and resurfacing the road on Cairo Lane; and WHEREAS, The City needs to conduct two surveys on Cairo Lane in order to complete the required public utilities installation and resurfacing; and WHEREAS,The cost of the two surveys is $1,400.00 (Exhibit "A"), and WHEREAS, It is in the best interest of the City to obtained the surveys (Exhibit "A"). NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference; Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to spend $1400.00 for the two surveys that are needed to complete the Cairo Lane project. Section 3. The legal description and sketch provided will be utilized by the City and will be included in their preparation of documents and negotiation of easements. SCOPE OF SERVICES In order to meet the Client's need for this emergency project, PDS will complete the following tasks: Task No. 1—Sketch and Legal Description Based on the drawing showing the proposed water improvements prepared by the City and/or its consultant, PDS will prepare the easement documents and drawings utilizing AutoCAD. The drawing will be prepared utilizing the State Plane Coordinate System and will include a legal description of the proposed easement location for each subject property. Proposed easement location has been identified starting 230.0586LF east of existing wall and shall be 12' wide by 9' deep. A three page document will be created including a cover page,the sketch drawing showing the easement and a legal description page. Drawings will follow our QA/QC procedures,and will be reviewed, signed and sealed by a Florida registered Professional Land Surveyor.
