RESOLUTION NO. 16-9239
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, REQUIRING THE CITY
MANAGER TO PROVIDE THE CITY COMMISSION A
QUARTERLY REPORT ON DELINQUENT WATER AND
SEWER ACCOUNTS OF $10,000.00 OR MORE;
PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, The City is experiencing a high delinquency rate on water and
sewer accounts in excess of$10,000.00; and
WHEREAS, This high delinquency rate has contributed to the City's financial
emergency; and
WHEREAS, It is in the best interest of the City to require the City Manager to
provide a quarterly report to the City Commission on delinquent water and sewer
accounts of$10,000.00 or more.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA,FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference;
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby required to provide to the City
Commission on a quarterly basis a report on delinquent water and sewer
accounts of$10,000.00 or more.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect upon adoption, and is subject to
the approval of the State of Florida Financial Oversight Board.
