AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, RELINQUISHING A
CERTAIN EASEMENT FOR SANITARY SEWER PURPOSES ON PROPERTY LOCATED
BEHIND 3215 MISSOURI BOULEVARD.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, by an easement recorded in Book 542, Page 373, and Surveyors Affidavit of
record in Book 542, Page 70, of the Records of the Cole County, Missouri, a sewer
easement was granted to the City of Jefferson,a Municipal Corporation,to excavate within,
install, construct, maintain and repair structures for the routing and conveyance of sewer
in, under and through the lots, tracts or parcels of land described in Section 1;
Section 1. The Council finds that the following described easement is surplus
property of the City and is no longer needed for any public purpose:
A strip of land across part of the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter
• of Section 10, Township 44 North, Range 12 West, in the City of Jefferson,
Cole County, Missouri, being part of a Sanitary Sewer Easement of record
in Book 542, Page 373, and Surveyors Affidavit of record in Book 542, Page
701, cole County Recorders Office, said strip being more particularly
described as follows:
From the southeasterly corner of a tract of land described in Book 409, Page
520, Cole County Recorders Office; thence N04°16'20"W along the easterly
line of said tract described in Book 409, Page 520, 23.00 feet to the POINT
OF BEGINNING for this description; thence leaving said easterly line
S84°30'58"W, 15.00 feet; thence N04 016'20"W, 379.58 feet; thence
N49 049'05"W, 87.24 feet; thence N05°23'53"W, 21.43 feet; thence
S49 049'05"E, 108.85 feet to the easterly line of said tract of land described
in Book 409, Page 520;thence, along the easterly line of said tract described
in Book 409, Page 520, SO4 016'20"E, 385.56 feet to the POINT OF
BEGINNING for this description.
Section 2. The easement described in Section 1 is hereby relinquished, and the
City does hereby release and abandon whatever interest it has in the easement.
Section 3. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute any
necessary legal document relinquishing all of the City's interest in the tract of ground
described in Section 1.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date
• of its passage and approval.
