RESOLUTION NO. 16-9240
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, REQUIRING ALL
PAYMENT PLANS ON DELINQUENT WATER AND SEWER
ACCOUNTS OF $10,000.00 OR MORE BE APPROVED BY
THE CITY COMMISSION; PROVIDING FOR
INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, The City is experiencing a high delinquency rate on water and
sewer accounts in excess of$10,000.00; and
WHEREAS, This high delinquency rate has contributed to the City's financial
emergency; and
WHEREAS, It is in the best interest of the City to require all payment plans
on delinquent water and sewer accounts of $10,000.00 or more be submitted to the
City Commission for approval; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference;
Section 2. All payment plans on delinquent water and sewer accounts of
$10,000.00 or more shall be approved by City Commission.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect upon adoption, and is subject to
the approval of the State of Florida Financial Oversight Board.
