HomeMy Public PortalAbout2002-002 Resolution Granting CUP to Three Rivers Park for Accessory Bldgs. at Baker National Golf CourseMember Jim Lane introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO.02-02 RESOLUTION. GRANTING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO THREE RIVERS PARK DISTRICT FOR ACCESSORY BUILDINGS, AT BAKER NATIONAL GOLF COURSE WHEREAS, Three Rivers Park District (aka Suburban Hennepin Regional Park District) (the "Applicant") has requested permission to construct three accessory buildings containing a total of approximately 1,372 square feet at the Baker National Golf Course in Baker Park Reserve; and WHEREAS, the proposed uses require a conditional use permit under the city's zoning ordinance; and WHEREAS, the planning commission reviewed the matter on December 11, 2001 and the city council did the same on December 18, 2001 and determined that the proposed uses will not impede the normal and orderly development of adjacent properties for purposes for which they are zoned. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the city of Medina, Minnesota that a conditional use permit be granted to the Applicant for the purpose of constructing the accessory buildings described herein, subject to the following terms and conditions: 1. The Applicant must implement erosion control methods; 2. Any exterior lighting, new or existing, including any lighting under the roof of the instructional shelter, must be downcast with all sides enclosed except the bottom with the light source and globe not visible and must in all respects comply with the city's lighting ordinance; 3. All buildings must be accessible and comply with the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act; RHB-207883v1 ME230-332 1 02-02 January 15, 2002 4. All building exteriors must be concrete and wood with a shingled roof; 5. The Applicant must comply with all requirements of the Watershed District; and 6. The Applicant shall pay to the city a fee in the amount determined by the city to represent its actual cost in reviewing this conditional use permit application.
