AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI AMENDING CHAPTER 1
(GENERAL PROVISIONS) OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, BY ADDING A NEW
SECTION 19 REQUIRING THAT APPLICANTS TO THE CITY HAVE ALL CITY OBLIGATIONS
PAID IN FULL BEFORE RECEIVING APPROVAL.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Code is hereby amended by adding one Section to Chapter 1
to read as follows:
I Sec. 1 Refusal to issue when unpaid obligations due city.
No license, permit, waiver, permissive use, approval of application or lease agreement
required by the Code of the City of Jefferson shall be issued by the City of Jefferson to any person
until all personal taxes,merchants'or manufacturers'ad valorem taxes,gross receipts tax,license
or permit fees due and unpaid,and all penalties thereon,sewer charges,parking tickets,tax liens,
municipal court fines and any other financial obligations due from the person to the city,have been
paid.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of
its passa a and approval.
