HomeMy Public PortalAboutOrd 1687 - Rezoning - 06/24/2019ORDINANCE NO. 1687 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CRESTVIEW, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR THE REZONING OF 0.78 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, OF REAL PROPERTY, LOCATED IN SECTION 20, TOWNSHIP 3 NORTH, RANGE 23 WEST, FROM THE SINGLE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT ZONING (R-1) TO THE SINGLE OR MULTI -FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT ZONING (R-2) DISTRICT ZONING (R-2); PROVIDING FOR AUTHORITY; PROVIDING FOR THE UPDATING OF THE CRESTVIEW ZONING MAP; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF CRESTVIEW, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. AUTHORITY. The authority for enactment of this ordinance is Section 166.041, Florida Statutes and Chapter 102, City Code. SECTION 2. PROPERTY REZONED. The following described 0.78 acres, more or less, of real property lying within the corporate limits of Crestview, Florida, being formerly zoned Single - Family Dwelling District Zoning (R-1) with the Medium Density Limited Residential Future Land Use Map designation recently ratified by the Florida Department of Economic Development, is hereby rezoned to the City of Crestview Single or Multi -Family Dwelling District Zoning (R-2) to wit: PIN # 17-3N-23-2490-0156-0140 (Deed recorded in Official Records Book 3177, page 3663, dated December 22, 2014.) LEGAL DESCRIPTION LOTS 14, 15 AND 16, BLOCK 156, TOWN OF CRESTVIEW, ACCORDING TO THE MAP OR PLAT THEREOF, AS RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK 1, PAGE(S) 72, OF THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF OKALOOSA COUNTY, FLORIDA. SECTION 3. MAP UPDATE. The Crestview Zoning Map, current edition, is hereby amended to reflect the above changes concurrent with passage of this ordinance. SECTION 4. SEVERABILITY. If any word, phrase, sentence, paragraph or provision of this ordinance or the application thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid or unconstitutional, such finding shall not affect the other provisions or applications of this ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid or unconstitutional provision or application, and to this end the provisions of this ordinance are declared severable. SECTION 5. EFFECTIVE DATE. The effective date of this Ordinance shall be the date Comprehensive Plan Amendment 19S4, adopted by Ordinance # 1686, becomes legally effective.
