RESOLUTION NO. 16-9254
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, PERMITTING PUBLIC
HEARING ON ORDINANCES FOR FIRST READING;
PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, It has been a long standing policy of the City Commission not to
permit public hearing on ordinances for first reading; and
WHEREAS, The City Commission believes it is in the City's best interest to
permit public hearing on ordinances for first reading.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF OPA LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka hereby adopts a
policy permitting public hearing on ordinances for first reading.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 12th day of October, 2016.
