Home My Public Portal AboutORD14328 BILL NO. 2007-154 • SPONSOR Councilman Klindt ORDINANCE NO. 1 C 3 ,24 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, RELINQUISHING A CERTAIN EASEMENT FOR SANITARY SEWER PURPOSES AT 1105 FAIRGROUNDS ROAD. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, by an easement recorded in Book 327, Page 567, of the Records of the Cole County, Missouri, a sewer easement was granted to the City of Jefferson, a Municipal Corporation, to excavate within, install, construct, maintain and repair structures for the routing and conveyance of sewer in, under and through the lots, tracts or parcels of land described in Section 1; Section 1. The Council finds that the following described easement is surplus property of the City and is no longer needed for any public purpose: A part of a Sanitary Sewer Easement as recorded in Book 327, page 567, Cole County Recorder's Office, being a 10 foot wide strip of land across part of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 17, Township 44 North, Range 12 West , in the City of • Jefferson,Cole County, Missouri,said 10 foot wide strip lies 5 feet each side of and adjacent to the following described centerline: From the northeast corner of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 17; thence S84 059'09"W, along the Section Line, 98.38 feet; thence S58 003'57"W, 658.79 feet;thence S360361 9"W,243.86 feet;thence S52 020'49"W,202.19 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING for this centerline description; thence S52°20'49"W, 146.17 feet to the POINT OF TERMINATION. Section 2. The easement described in Section 1 is hereby relinquished, and the City does hereby release and abandon whatever interest it has in the easement. Section 3. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute any necessary legal document relinquishing all of the City's interest in the tract of ground described in Section 1. Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage and approval.
