HomeMy Public PortalAbout04-03-2003THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, APRIL 3, 2003 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5 p.m. Thursday, April 3, 2003 in the Community Room in the Municipal Building. Chairperson Bob Goodwin presided, with Robin Henry, Bruce Metzger, and Assistant City Attorney Joel Harvey in attendance. The following business was conducted: APPROVAL OF MINUTES Metzger made a motion to approve the minutes for March 20, 2003 and March 27, 2003 second by Goodwin and the motion was carried on a voice vote. CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Henry presented claims from the Finance Department for $150,787.29 and $136,623.73 and made a motion to approve, second by Metzger and the motion was carried on a voice vote. REQUESTS A. Fire Chief Mike Allen requested a release of liability on the Ramada Inn. The release is for utilizing the vacant building for training purposes. Henry moved to approve, second by Goodwin and the motion was carried on a voice vote. Metzger abstained as he is the attorney for the 1st Mortgage holder on the Ramada Inn. CHANGE ORDERS A. Change Order #4 is on the South 1 st Street project. The original amount will be reduced by $8,198.11 with a new total of $371,532.54. Metzger moved to approve, second by Henry and the motion was carried on a voice vote. B. Change Order #1 is on the detention basin on Midwest Industrial Park adding $3,882 with a new total of $190,576. Henry made a motion to approve, second by Metzger and the motion was carried on a voice vote. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business, on a motion duly made, seconded and passed, and carried on a voice vote, the meeting was adjourned.
