Explanation: The 8 members of this Committee will be 2 members of the Planning Commission, the Planning
Commission Chairperson, 2 members of the Beach Task Force Committee, and 3' affected citizens. Two
members of the City Council will serve as ex officio members of the Committee.

SHORE PROTECTION ORDINANCE REVIEW COMMITTEE
MEMBER APPLICA71ON — New Deadline March 22, 2011
Thank you for your interest in serving on the Shore Protection Ordinance Review Ad Hoc Committee of
the City of Tybee Island.
This Committee will be a citizen board appointed by the Mayor and City Council and it will be composed
of eight voting members and a chairperson who votes only in the event of a tie. Two City Council
Members will serve ex officio.
The Committee will review the City of Tybee Island's Shore Protection Ordinance and prepare a written
report. In preparing its report the Committee may interact with the Mayor and City Council, the City
Manager, the Community Development Department, the Beach Task Force, the Georgia Department of
Natural Resources, and any other sources of input deemed appropriate.
