Member Carolyn Smith introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO.02-26
RESOLUTION VACATING A PORTION OF WILLOW DRIVE
WHEREAS, the city of Medina (the "City") has authorized the realignment and
signalization of the intersection of Willow Drive and T.H. 55 (the "Project"); and
WHEREAS, the portion of Willow Drive that currently abuts the property owned by
Goodin Company is proposed to be vacated; and
WHEREAS, the portion of Willow Drive proposed to be vacated is legally described on
Exhibit A attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 412.851, the City has scheduled a public hearing to
consider the proposed vacation; and
WHEREAS, the notice of said public hearing was published twice in the official newspaper
and was mailed to the owners of affected properties at least 10 days before the hearing, all in
accordance with law; and
WHEREAS, the City has this day held the public hearing on the proposed vacation, at
which hearing all interested parties were heard; and
WHEREAS, following the public hearing, the City determined the vacation of the portion
of Willow Drive described in Exhibit A to be in the public interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina,
Minnesota as follows:
1. The City hereby declares that the portion of Willow Drive legally described on
Exhibit A attached hereto is vacated.

2. The acting city clerk -treasurer is authorized and directed to prepare and present to
Hennepin County a notice that the city council has completed these vacation
proceedings and to request that the same be reflected in the county's records.
3. The acting city clerk -treasurer and other staff members are hereby authorized and
directed to take any additional steps necessary or convenient to effect the vacation of
said portion of Willow Drive.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Tom Supel
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Zietlow, Supel, Smith,
Lane, and Workman
and the following voted against same: None
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.

EXHIBIT A
That part of the Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 4, Township 118, Range 23,
Hennepin County, Minnesota, that lies:
1. Westerly of a line parallel with and distant 33.00 feet East of the East line of the
record plat of MEDINA PARKS ADDITION, as measured at a right angle to said
East line, and
2. Easterly of the following described line:
Commencing at the Southeast corner of Outlot A, of said MEDINA PARKS
ADDITION; thence on an assumed bearing of North 86 degrees 29 minutes 00
seconds East, along the South line and its easterly extension of said MEDINA
PARKS ADDITION, a distance of 73.10 feet to the point of beginning of the line to
be described; thence 197.12 feet Northerly, along a non -tangential curve concave
Westerly, having a radius of 706.74 feet, a central angle of 15 degrees 58 minutes 49
seconds, a chord bearing of North 13 degrees 13 minutes 42 seconds West, and a
chord distance of 196.48 feet; thence 250.60 feet Northerly, along a reverse curve
having a radius of 413.99 feet and a central angle of 34 degrees 40 minutes 58
seconds; thence North 13 degrees 27 minutes 52 seconds East, tangent to said curve,
a distance of 31.61 feet to the Southerly right-of-way line of MN State Hwy No. 55
and said line there terminating.
