RESOLUTION NO. 16-9268
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, DIRECTING THE CITY
MANAGER TO PREPARE A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
(RFP) FOR PROPERTY MANAGEMENT AND LEASING
SERVICES; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF
RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, The City owns several properties that are leased from time to
time; and
WHEREAS, The City does not have adequate staffing to perform property
management and leasing services; and
WHEREAS, It is in the best interest of the City to retain an experienced firm
or person to handle property management and leasing services.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference;
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby directed to prepare a Request For
Proposal (RFP) for property management and leasing services, and bring
back the same to the City Commission within 30 days of the date of this
Resolution.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption, and
is subject to the approval of the State of Florida Financial Oversight Board for the
City of Opa-locka, FL.
