RESOLUTION NO.02-27
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF
HIGHWAY 55 CORRIDOR COALITION JOINT POWERS
AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the Highway 55 Corridor Coalition has been formed to protect the Highway
55 corridor between I-494 and the western limits of the city of Annandale; and
WHEREAS, the Coalition will be comprised of Hennepin and Wright counties and the
cities and townships which abut Highway 55; and
WHEREAS, the parties intend to create a joint powers organization pursuant to Minnesota
Statutes, section 471.59.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the city of Medina,
Minnesota, as follows:
1. Medina hereby agrees to join the Highway 55 Corridor Coalition Joint Powers
Organization; and
2. The mayor and acting clerk -treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to execute
the Joint Powers Agreement on behalf of the city of Medina.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Tom Supel
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Lane, Supel, Workman,
Zietlow and Smith
and the following voted against same: None.
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
