ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, VACATING AND
DISCONTINUING THE RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR ALL DEDICATED RIGHT OF WAY AND
EASEMENTS IN JORDAN TOWNE SUBDIVISION, SECTION 1.
WHEREAS, it has been shown to the Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri,that
Jordan Towne Subdivision, Section 1, has never been constructed nor used, and the
dedicated rights of way and easements are now not necessary; and
WHEREAS, it has further been shown that it would not inconvenience the public or
the citizens of the City to discontinue right-of-way of Jordan Towne Subdivision, Section
1, for public use as described in Section 1 of this Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, hereby declares it
. necessary, reasonable and proper to discontinue as a right-of-way a portion of Jordan
Towne Subdivision, Section 1, and forever vacate the following described right-of-way in
said City:
Vacate all publicly dedicated right of ways and easements; lot lines and
setbacks (lying West of Stadium West Boulevard) for Jordan Towne
Subdivision, Section 1, per Plat Book 11, Page 60 Cole County Recorder's
Office.
Vacate all of Lot No. 68 of Stadium West Properties, Section 1, per Plat
Book 11, Page 357, Cole County Recorder's Office, except for sanitary
sewer and stormwater drainage easement located in the northeast corner of
Lot 68.
Vacate publicly dedicated right of way for a 60' strip deeded to the City of
Jefferson per Book 261, Page 521 Cole County Recorder's Office.
Section 2. The statutory right of reversion in the owners of the abutting property is
hereby confirmed, as is provided by the laws of the State of Missouri, and the Mayor and
the Clerk of the City are hereby authorized to execute all necessary instruments required
to confirm the reversionary rights of the owners of property abutting on the area vacated,
• as described in Section 1 of this ordinance, in the right-of-way vacated.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its
passage.
