RE�OLUTION APPROVING THE CIRCULATION OF PETITIONS�
REQUESTING THE AN1�iEXATION OF LUGO PARK ANNEX@1TION
N0. 3 TO THE CITY OF LYNWOOD,
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of'Lynwood
did, on the 13th day of June, 1961, recommend to the City Council
that the unincorporated territory bounded by the Lynwood City boundary
on the east, the alley west of Pope Avenue on the west, Beechwood
Avenue on the north, and Century Boulevard on the south, be annexed to
the City of' Lynwood, and.
WHEREAS, the Boundary Commission of the County of Los
_ Angeles did on the lOth day of Ju1y 1g61 approve the proposed
boundaries of said area as to de£initeness and certainty, and
WHEREAS, on the 20th day of June lg6i the City Cotzncil
of the City of Lynwood consented to the commencement of annexation
proceedin�s to anneY said territory, and
- WHEREAS, on the lst day of August 1g61 there was filed
with the City Clerk of the City of Lynwood an affidavit of publication
that said notice oP intention to circulate petitions relating to the

annexation of said territory to the City of Lynwood was published in
the Herald American on the 27th and 30th days of July lg6i,
NOW, 'THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that receipt of the affidavit
of publication is hereby acknowledged and approval is hereby given for
the circalation of petitions for the annexation of said territory as
hereinafter described,
That�said territory is hereby designated as "Lugo Park
Annexation No. 3" and is described as follows;
Eeginning at the intersection of the center line of
Beechyaood Avenue, 60 feet wide, with the easterly line of Wright Road,
50 feet wide, as shown on map of Tract No. 10634 recorded in Book 165,
pages 40 to 43 inclusive, of Maps, in the office of the Recorder of the
County of Los �ngeles, said intersection being on the boundary line of
the City of Lynwood as said boundary existed on June 23 Zg61; thence

westerly along said center line o� Beechwood Avenue, westerly along
the center line of Beeehwood Avenue, 80 feet wide, as shown on map
of Tract No. 10978 recorded in Book 191, page 6 of said Maps, and •
continuing tivesterly along the center line of Beechwood Avenue, 50
feet wide, as shown o� map of Tract No. 7984 recorded in Book 90,
pages 34, 35 and 36 of said Maps, to the intersection of the northerly
prolongation of the westerly line of the first alle� East of Virginia
Avenue, as shown on said map oP Tract No. 7984; thence southerly along
said northerly prolongation and westerly line and its southerly pro-
longation to the southerly line of CenturJ Boulevard, 100 feet wide,
formerly Morton Road, as shown on map of Tract No. 6728 recorded,in
Book 125, pages 19 and 20 of said Maps; thence easterly along said
southerly line to the intersection of the boundary of the City of
' Lynwood as said boundary existed on June 23, 1961; thence northerly
and following its various courses to the point of beginning.
That proceedings for the annexation of said territory shall
-� be:in accordance with "The �nnexation Act of 1913," as amended.
