RESOLUTION OVERRULING PROTESTS IN CONNECTION
WITH THE HE�RING ON DEBT LIMIT�TION FOR THE
PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT OF PORTIONS OF CORTL�ND
AVENUE,, LOUISE �VENUE .�ND CHECK AVENUE EASTERLY
OF WRIGHT ROAD BY THE CONSTRUCTION OF VITRIF'IED
CL�aY PIP SANIT�RY SEWERS, TOGETHER WITH ALL
INCIDENT�LL AND APPURTENAIVT WORK,
WHERF�4S, theCity Council of the City of Lynwood did, on
the 5th day o£ July 1961 approve an investigation report under
the provisions of Division 4 of the Streets and Highways Code, cited
as "Special Assessment Investigation Limitation and Majority Protest
Act of 1931," as amended, upon the proposed improvement of portions
of Cortland Avenue, Louise �venue and Check Avenue easterly of Wright
Road by the construction of vitrified clay pipe sanitary sewers, �
including manholes, together with all incidental and appurtenant work �
as shown on Plan No. 1961-L-2 on file in the ofPice of the City Clerk �
of said City, and
WHEREAS, said report having been duly prepared and filed, I
a hearing was held by said City Council on the 15th day of August,
1g61 in the manner provided in said Act above referred to,and
WHEREAS, more than thirty days have expired since the date �
of mailing notices of hearin� on said report, �
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Lynwood does

hereby resolved as follows:
l. That no protests were made at said hearing on said i
investigation report. I
2. That the public interest, convenience, and necessity �
I
require the doing and making of the public improvement set forth and
described in said report above referred to and substantia'l1y 'in 'the
manner set forth. .
3. That the ro'ect consistin of the �
P J g proposed improvement
above referred to is £easible and that the land to be assessed will �
be able to carry the burden of said proposed assessment.
4. That the estimated total amount proposed to be assessed

upon any or all of the lots or parcels of land for the cost and expenses

o£ said proposed improvement does not exceed the limitation of indebted-
ness established and set forth in said Act above referred to and will
not, by the levy thereof, cause said limitation to be exceeded in any
instance.
5. That it is hereby ordered that the proveedings for the
making of said improvement be undertaken pursuant to the provisions
of an Act of the Legislature of the State of Cali£ornia designated as �I
Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code, cited as "The Improvement
Act of 1911," and amendments thereto.
