� RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD DECL:ARING ITS INTENTION TO C.�LL ,�
SPECI�L ELECTION IN CERT&�IN INHABITED TERRI-
TORY CONTIGUOUS TO S�,ID CITY PROPOSED TO BE
ANNEXED THERETO, FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUBMITTING
TO THE QU�9LIFIED ELECTORS RESIDING IN S�1ID TER-
RITORY THE QUESTION WHETHER OR NOT SI�ID TERRI-
TORY SH�I,L BE �NNEXED TO THE CITY OF LYNWOOD,
�SND FIXING A TIME WND PL&10E WHEN AND WHERE ANY
PERSON OGINING REP�I, PROPERiTY WITHIN SUCH TERRI- �
TORY NL�Y IAPPE,�iR BEFORE S��ID CITY COUNCIL ,�ND
SHOW C1�USE WHY SUCH TERRITORY SHOULD NOT BE SO
ANNEXED. (LUGO PARK ANNEXATION N0. 3).
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lynwood
as follows:
Section 1. It is the intention of the City Council of the
City of Lynwood to call a special eleetion for the purpose of sub-
mitting to the qualified eleetors residing in certain inhabited
territory contiguous to said city the question whether or not said �
territory shall be annexed to the City of Lynwood.
Section 2. That said territory hereby is designated and I
identified for such election purposes and for use upon the ballots �
at such election as "Lugo Park Annexation No. 3," and is described

as follows:
Beginning at the intersection the center line of
Beechwood Avenue, 60 feet wide, with the easterly line �
of Wright Road, 50 feet wide, as shown on map of Tract
No. 10634 recorded in Book 165, pages 40 to 43 inclusive, ,
of Maps, in the office of the Recorder of the County of
Los �ingeles, said intersection being on the boundary line '
of th� City of Lynwood as said boundary existed on i
June 23 ig6i thence westerly along said center line
of Beechwood Avenue, westerly along the center line of
Beechwood. Avenue, 80 £eet wide, as shown on map of
Tract No. 10978 recorded in Book 191, page 6 of said
Maps, and continuing westerly along the center line of
Beechwood Avenue, 50 feet wide, as shown on map o£
Tract No. 84 recorded in Book 0 �

of said Maps, to the intersection of the northerly
prolongation of the westerly line of the first alley
• East of Virginia Avenue, as shown on said map of Tract
No. 7984; thence southerly along said northerly pro-
longation and westerly line and its southerly prolongation
to the southerly line of Century Boulevard, 100 feet
wide, formerly Morton Road, aa shown on map of Tract
No. 6728 recorded in Book 12�, pages 19 and 20 of said
Maps; thence easterly along said southerly line to the
interaeetion of the boundary of the City of Lynwood as
said boundary e�isted on June 23 1g61 thence northerly
and following its various courses to the point of
beginning.
Section j. Notice is hereby given that the City Council
of the City of Lynwood will conduct a public hearing on said proposed
annexation on Tuesday, the 5th day of December, lg6l at the hour of
7:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers o£ the City Hall 1133o Bullis Road,
Lynwood, California. �t any time not later than the hour set for
hearing objections to the election, any owner of property within the
territory may make a written protest against the annexation. Such
protest must be in writing and shall etate the name of the owner of
the property affected and the street address or other description of
the property sufficient to identify it on the last equalized assess-
ment roll. If it is found that the protest is not made by the "owners"
of one-half of the value of the territory proposed to be annexed,
further proceedings shall be taken in accordance with the 1aw for
holding of such special annexation election.
5ection 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this reaolution and is hereby direeted to cause a copy of same to be
published once a week for the two weeks prior to said hearing in the
Lynwood Press, a newspaper of general circulation, published in the
City of Lynwood and circulated within the said territory proposed to
be annexed,
