HomeMy Public PortalAboutM 1986-03-31 - CC~~~ ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING MARCH 31, 1986 The City Council of the City of Lynwood met in an adjourned regular meeting in the City Hall, 11330 Bullis Road, on the above date at 5:00 p.m. Mayor Henning in the chair. Councilpersons Byork, Morris, Thompson, Wells and Henning answered the roll call. Also present were City Manager Gomez and City Clerk Hooper. The City Manager asked Council if they would instruct staff Policy bass to write a policy basis to the Fee Schedule pertaining to to Pee waiving of business license or permits fees. If Council Schedule approved, it would avoid platting such matters on the Agenda. After Council discussion, it was moved by Mayor Henning, seconded by Councilperson Byork, and carried, to approve the Council policy, and authorize staff not to waive any fees. The City Manager inquired if Council could meet with Mr. Insurance Wendell Wong, Representative from March Mac Insurance on Pooling April 8, 1986 at 5:00 p.m. for information on insurance pooling. Council agreed to meet by general consent. The City Manager stated that on April 8, 1986 he has been C/M attend- invited to attend the taping of "Firing Line", Voucher ance at Dav System for the Schools, at University of California, Davis. After Council discussion Council approved by general consent his participation at Davis. HCDA Coordinator Jones explained the Community Development HCDA explai ~~ Block Grant (CDBG) to Council. Included were the background ,ed by C/D purpose and structure. She explained the CDBG Guidelines' Coordinator and application process. She also explained the contracts regarding substantial changes and procurement standards (OMB Circular A-102). Stated the purpose of the meeting was for information only. A public hearing will be held for the application on April 15, 1986. Coordinator Jones stated the City is now in the process of negotiating a severance agreement with the County. The public hearing on the application will also be held on April 15, 1986, and at that time, Council can make a decision on the application. The City Manager stated the Independent Cities Conference Independent will be held on July 10-12, 1986 at Rancho Bernardo Inn Cities Conf and his office will make reservations for Councilpersons, July 10-12 the City Manager, City Clerk and City Treasurer. There was no further business, and it was moved by Council- person Morris, seconded by Councilperson Byork, to adjourn to April 1, 1986. .--• ANDREA L.
