COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY

REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
SEPTEMBER 16, 2008
1. CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Wilson called the Community Redevelopment Agency Regular Meeting to order at
7:33 p.m. in the Council Chambers located at 5938 Kauffman Avenue, Temple City.

ALSO PRESENT: Executive Director /Agency Counsel Martin, Assistant Executive
Director Lambert, Agency Secretary Flandrick
JOINT CLOSED SESSION — CITY COUNCIL AND COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
At 7:33 p.m., the Community Redevelopment Agency recessed with the City Council to a joint closed
session for conference with legal counsel.
Purpose: Conference with Legal Counsel
Cases: One (1) — City of Temple City and Temple City Redevelopment Agency v.
TCD Enterprise, LLC, etc., et al. Los Angeles Superior Court Case No. BC
389055
Authority: Existing Litigation — Government Code Section 54956.9(a)
RECONVENE
The City Council and Community Redevelopment Agency reconvened at 8:11 p.m. with all members
present.
CLOSED SESSION STATEMENT
Mr. Joseph Buchman, legal counsel, stated last week TCD Enterprises filed an answer and a cross
complaint in the City and Agency's pending litigation against TCD concerning the lack of development
progress for the Piazza project at Rosemead and Las Tunas. In the closed session, discussion was
held concerning these recently filed pleadings. Of note, the answer and cross complaint make
serious allegations regarding solicitation of bribes by unnamed City officials. The City and Agency
deny such allegations. His office (Burke, Williams & Sorensen) has been directed by the Council and
Agency Board to report these allegations to the District Attorney for their further investigation or
action.
RECESS /RECONVENE
The Community Redevelopment Agency recessed at 8:12 p.m. and reconvened at 9:16 p.m. with all
members present.

Mayor Pro Tem Capra moved to approve the Consent Calendar, seconded by
Councilmember Vizcarra and unanimously carried by the following roll call vote:
AYES: Member - Gillanders, Vizcarra, Wong, Capra, Wilson

Adopted Resolution No. CRA 08 -950, a RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY ALLOWING CLAIMS AND DEMANDS IN THE SUM
OF $21,957.00 DEMAND NOS. 3559 THROUGH 3563.
