RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ABATE DRY AND DRYING
WEEDS ON CERTAIN PARCELS OF LAND IN THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD.
Wf�REAS, Chapter 13 of the Government Code, cited as
"Weed and Rubbish Abatement provides for abatement�•o£ dry and drying
weeds that constitute a public nuisance, and "
WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the City
Council of the City of Lynwood by the Superintendent of Streets that
there exists a public nuisance on certain parcels of land in the
City of Lynwood, as hereinafter more particularly described,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Lynwood as follows:
l. That a public nuisance exists upon the parcels of land,
lots, or portions of lots set forth below:
Modjeska Acres: Lots 5, 6, 9, 16, 25, 26, and 64.
Belle Vernon Acres: Lots 1 and 2 of Block 14; Lots 21 and
24 of Slock 15.
Tract No. 3025: Lots 1029, 1030, 1031, 1042, 1065, 1066,
1088, and 1176
Mod.jeska Park: Lots 45 and 46; Block 4, Lot 1 of Block 6;
Lots l, 12, and 13 of Block 8; Lots 65 and 66 of Block 14; Lots 39
and 40 of Block 17.
Tract No. 921: Lots 5, 6, and 7.
Tract No. 5418: Lot 12 of Block 10; Lot 1 of Bloek 4.

z. The Superintendent of Streets is hereby directed to cause
notices to be posted in the time, form, and manner required by law.
3. That the proceedings for aforesaid work shall be taken
under an Act of the Legislature of the State of California designated
as the Government Code, Chapter 13,.Sections 39500 et seq., cited as
"Weed and. Rubbish Abatement," and amendments thereto. `
4. Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, the 5th day of April,
1960 at the hour of 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the City Hall,
11330 Bullis Road, in the City of Lynwood, any and all persons having
any objections or protests to said proposed work may appear before said
City Council and show cause why said proposed work should not be carried
out in accordance with said Act.
