RESOLUTION N0. 60-14
RESOLUTION OVERRULING PROTESTS AND DETERMIN�ING
THAT THE CITY COUNCIL HAS ACQUIRED JURISDICTION
TO ORDER THE PROPOSED WORK OR IMPROVEMENT IN THE
MATTER OF THE IMPROVEMENT OF A PORTION OF PENDLETON
AVENUE BETWEEN ELM AVENUE AND ATLANTIC AVENUE BY
THE CONSTRUCTION OF VITRIFIED CLAY PIPE SANITP.RY
SEWERS, TOGETHER WITH ALL INCIDENTAL AND APPUR-
TEN�NT WORK.
WHERE�IS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood did on
the 16th day of February, 1960, adopt its Resolution of Intention No.
60-8 ordering the improvement of a portion of Pendleton Avenue between
Elm Avenue and Atlantic Avenue by the construction of vitrified clay
pipe sanitary sewers, together with all incidental and appurtenant
work, and
WHEREAS, Tuesday, the 15th day of March 196o at the hour
of 7:30 p.m, at the Council Chambers in the City Hall in said City of
Lynwood was the time and place set in said Resolution of Intention
when and where any objections to the proposed work or improvement, or
to the extent of the district to be assessed, or to the grades to
which the work was proposed to be,done would be heard by said City
Council, and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk of said city has heretofore pre-
sented and filed an affid'avit of publication of said Resolution of
Intention, showing that the same was published according to law, and
WHERE�S, said City Clerk has also presented and filed. his
affidavit o£ mailing notices o£ the adoption of said Resolution of
Intention in the time, form, and manner, and to the persons, all as
provided.by an Act of the Legislature of the State of California,
designated as Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code, and cited
as the "Improvement Act of 1911," and amendments thereto, and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer-Superintendent of Streets has
heretofore presented and filed an affidavit showing that notice of
the passage of said Resolution of Intention has been posted in the
manner provided. by said Act, and
WHEREAS, at said hearing held on the 15th day o£ March,
1960 no protests were filed against any of the things proposed to
be done under said Resolution of Intention No. 60-8.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
,�City of Lynwood that the said City Council has acquired full �uris-
diction to order the proposed work or improvement.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 15th day of March 1960.
