A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
THE STOP SIGN INSTALLATIONS ON 109 STREET AND LORRAIN STREET,
110 STREET AND LORRAIN STREET AND 112 STREET AND LORRAINE
STREET AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY ENGINEER TO INSTALL THESE SIGNS AND
PAVEMENT MARKINGS
WHEREAS, Lorrain Street between 108 Street and Fernwood Avenue service
as a connector road; and
WHEREAS, three of the six intersection on Lorrain Street have no stop signs
installed; and
WHEREAS, for consistency, to more clearly designate right-of-way at
intersections lacking these devices and to address driver anticipation, the City Council
wishes to approve the installation of 2-way Stop signs at such intersections.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood and approves the
installation of 2-way stop signs at the following three intersections:
• Lorrain Street and 112 Street — stop signs to be installed on 112 Street.
• Lorrain Street and 110 Street — stop signs to be installed on 110 Street.
• Lorrain Street and 109 Street — stop signs to be installed on 109 Street.
Section 2. That the City Engineer is authorized to install the stop signs,
pavement markings and red curb as determined by engineering staff.
Section 3. This Resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 19 day of October, 2010.
