A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD ADOPTING
THE PLANS, CONTRACT DOCUMENTS, AND WORKING DETAILS FOR THE CITY
HALL HEATING VENTILATION AND AIR-CONDITIONING (HVAC) UNITS
WHEREAS, the plans, contract documents and working details for the HVAC
units are complete and ready for the City Council's review, consideration and adoption;
and
WHEREAS, on June 15, 2010, the Lynwood City Council awarded a consulting
services contract to Glumac Engineers for the design of the City Hall HVAC system; and
WHEREAS, the total estimated project cost is $562,500; and
WHEREAS, this project is funded by the Energy Efficiency Conservation Block
Grant (EECBG) through the Department of Energy on a reimbursable basis; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works of the City of Lynwood has
determined that said project is in accordance with the California Environmental Quality
Act (CEQA) and is categorically exempt pursuant to Section 15301(C) of the CEQA
guidelines pertaining to statutory exemptions.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That this project is in conformance with the California
Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and is categorically exempt.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby adopts the
Plans, Contract Documents and Working Details.
Section 3. That the City Council authorizes the solicitation of bids.
Section 4. This Resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 19 day of October, 2010.
