CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO.02-51
RESOLUTION GRANTING SITE PLAN APPROVAL TO
DARREL FARR DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
WHEREAS, Darrel Farr Development Corporation (the "Applicant") has applied for site
plan approval for remodeling a structure located at 172 Hamel Road (the "Property"); and
WHEREAS, the Property is located within the Uptown Hamel zoning district; and
WHEREAS, Section 825.55 of the Medina code of ordinances requires site plan approval
under these circumstances; and
WHEREAS, the matter was reviewed by the planning commission at its meeting of July 9,
2002; and
WHEREAS, this matter was considered by the city council at its meeting of July 16, 2002.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the city of Medina,
Minnesota, that site plan approval is hereby granted to the Applicant for remodeling a structure on
the Property, subject to the following terms and conditions:
1. The Applicant must grant to the city a sidewalk easement on the south and east sides
of the Property;
2. The Applicant must grant to the city the drainage and utility easements on the
Property required by the city engineer;
3. All of the parcels must be combined into one lot before work begins on the Property;
4. All exterior lighting, both new and existing, must be in compliance with the city's
outdoor lighting ordinance;
5. The old garage on the north side of the building must be removed;
6. All signage on the Property must meet city sign ordinance requirements;
7. All parking areas on the Property must be paved and stripped;
8. The Applicant must comply with all requirements of the city engineer;
9. The Applicant must pay to the city an administrative fee in an amount sufficient to
reimburse the city for the cost of reviewing this application; and
10. The site plan approval hereby granted shall be valid for one year from the date of
approval of this resolution, after which time the approval granted shall be null and
void.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that any conditional use permit
previously granted for the Property is hereby rescinded and is declared null and void.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bruce
Workman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Workman,
Smith, Supel, Zietlow, and Lane
and the following voted against same: None.
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
