SISTEM RULES AND REGULATIONS.
?'he City Council of the City of° L�ynwood d.oe� hereby resolve
as follow�:
Section 1: That ftule VII be amended to include an a�ditional

lhzring the appeal period, th� applicant may file a

cuestions.ag�.inst which the protest is directed and his re�.sons for
nroteating, r�.ch protest shall be in writing and in the form prescribed
by the ?er.sonnel Ofiicer. The protest ahall give soeciFic facts and
re3sons to support the appeal and shall include authoritative references
or opinions of recognized experts where such exist. Upon receipt of the
. written appeal, a review of each protested auestion shall be madA. In
case of° �n error in a question, the question may be eliminated entirely
or moer than one answer m2y be considered as correct. After the nec-
easary and proper findings have been made, the corrected answer key
shall become the scoring key upon wliich all the applicants' papers a.re

S�:ction 2: That Rule XI, Section 1, Paragraph 2 be amended to
re7d as Foilows:

o'ther eligible employe�'s including the �ity Manager, City C,lerk, and
Cj.ty Ts°easurer sha11 earn vacation credits at the rate of 14 calen3ar

da.ys (10 work days� per year. Employees having a continuous 10- year
service record will be allowed a vacation credit of 21 calendar days
(15 work days) per year. Employees having a continuous 15-year
service record will be allowed a vacation credit o£ 28 ca,lendar days
(20 work days� per year.
Section 3 : That Rule XI be amended to include an additional
section as follows:
Section 8. Bereavement Leave: In the event of a death
in the employee's imme iate family, t e ity Manager may grant a three-
day bereavement leave of absence with pay. "Immediate family" is
defined as mother or father of employee or mate, brother, sister, or
children of employees.
