THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, JUNE 2, 2011
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5:00 P.M.,
Thursday, June 2, 2011, in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Building, 50 North 5th Street,
Richmond, Indiana. In attendance were Board Members Vicki Robinson, Dian Lawson and
Tony Foster. Also attending were Assistant City Attorney Kim Vessels, Director of Public
Works and Engineering Greg Stiens, Police Chief Kris Wolski, Gerald Sowah, Terry Wise and
David Stout.
The following business was conducted:
CALL TO ORDER
Robinson called the meeting to order and noted for the minutes that all board members and legal
counsel were present.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Robinson made a request to the board to approve the minutes for the May 26, 2011 meeting.
Foster moved to approve with a second by Lawson. The motion was unanimously passed.
CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT
Robinson made a request to the board to approve the claims for payment for June 3, 2011 in the
amount of $128,249.86. She explained of that total $27,261.38 was paid to the Wayne County
Treasurer for the City's portion of 9 -1 -1 salaries and benefits and $39, 428.86 was paid to
Milestone for Hot /Cold mix. Lawson moved to approve with a second by Foster. The motion
was unanimously passed.
CHANGE ORDERS
The change orders that were are the agenda were tabled until further noticed
CONTRACTS
A. Robinson brought to the board a request that was presented by Director of Public
Works and Engineering Greg Stiens for the approval of Contract No. 84 -2011 with
PB Americas, Inc to provide engineering services for the Sign Inventory and
Replacement Project not to exceed $235,600.00. Lawson moved to approve with a
second by Foster. The motion was unanimously passed.

B. Robinson made a request to the board to approve the contract for the Vehicle
Impound and Storage agreement to Stamper's in the amount of $7,029.71 per year.
Lawson moved to approve with a second by Foster. The motion was unanimously
passed.
BID AWARDS
A. Robinson brought to the board a bid award that was presented by Police Chief Kris
Woski for four CAN -AM Spyder Motorcycles for the Richmond Police Department
in the total amount of $68,296.00. Lawson moved to award with a second by Foster.
The motion was unanimously passed.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, on a motion duly made, seconded and passed unanimously. The
meeting was adjourned.
