HomeMy Public PortalAbout2003-006 Resolution Requesting the Elm Creek Watershed Mgt Comm Enlarge Boundaries to Include Land Within CityMember Workman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO. 03-06 RESOLUTION REQUESTING THAT THE ELM CREEK WATERSHED MANAGEMENT COMMISSION ENLARGE ITS BOUNDARIES TO INCLUDE LAND WITHIN THE CITY WHEREAS, the city is a signatory of the Joint Powers Agreement for the Establishment of the Elm Creek Watershed Management Commission, adopted May 12, 1993; and WHEREAS, one parcel of land located within the city, identified by property tax identification number 2211823140002 and address 1752 County Road 24, is not under the jurisdiction of any watershed district or watershed management organization; and WHEREAS, a portion of this parcel naturally drains into the Elm Creek Watershed; and WHEREAS, enlargement of the Elm Creek Watershed to include this parcel would serve the public welfare and public interest through more efficient water resource management. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the city of Medina, Minnesota, that the Elm Creek Watershed Management Commission is requested to enlarge its boundaries to include all of the parcel of land identified by parcel identification number 2211823140002 and address 1752 County Road 24.
