RESOLUTION N0. 59_16
A RESOLUTION PASSING UPON OBJECTIONS, AND
DIRECTING THE SUPERINTENDENT OF STREETS TO
ABATE THE NUISANCE OF DRY AND DRYING WEEDS
THAT EXIST ON CERTAIN PARCELS OF LAND IN
THE CITY OF LYNWOOD.
WIIEREAS, the City Council of the.City of Lynwood,
California, did on the 17th day of February 1959, adopt Resolution
No. 59-12 relating to the abatement of dry and drying weeds on cer-
tain_parcels of land in the City of Lynwood. and
WHEREAS, d.ue notice was given to destroy such weeds by '
posting "Notice to Destroy Weeds" notices as required by law, and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for the hearing of
protests and objections to said matter, a hearing was duly held and
no written or oral objections were made to the doing of said work,
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood has con-
sidered. all the facts and ;s fully informed in the matter, and they
have acquired jurisdiction to proceed and perform the work of removal
of said nuisance,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Superintendent of
Streets of the City of Lynwood be and. he is hereby instructed to abate
the nuisance descriUed in said Resolution No. 59-12 by having said
nuisances referred to removed, ancl he and his assistants.are hereby
expressly authorized to enter upon private property for that purpose.
Be it further resolved that any property owners shall have
the right to have any such nuisance removed and abated at his own
expense, provided such work is done pr3or to the time the work is done
by the.Superintendent of Streets. If the work is d.one by the property
owner, no charge shall be made by the City of Lynwood.
