HomeMy Public PortalAbout12-02-2010THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, DECEMBER 2, 2010 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5:00 P.M., Thursday, December 2, 2010, in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Building, 50 North 5th Street, Richmond, Indiana. In attendance were Board Members Vicki Robinson, Dian Lawson and Mary Jo Flood. Also attending was Assistant City Attorney Kim Vessels. The following business was conducted: CALL TO ORDER Robinson called the meeting to order and noted for the minutes that all board members and legal counsel are present. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Robinson made a request to the board to approve the minutes for the November 24, 2010 meeting. Lawson moved to approve with a second by Flood. The motion was unanimously passed. CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Robinson made a request to the board to approve the claims for payment for December 3, 2010 in the amount of $177,158.38. She explained of that total $27,856.88 was paid to the Wayne County Treasurer for the City's portion of 911 salaries and benefits; $23,368.00 was paid to Clark Dietz for Preliminary Engineering for South "E" Street and $36,586.80 was paid to Thor Construction for the NSP Grant Contract. Flood moved to approve with a second by Lawson. The motion was unanimously passed. PROBATIONARY OFFICER FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT A. Lawson moved to table the request for the approval of Jason Scott Glover as a Probationary Police Officer of the Richmond City Police Department until someone could present the request with a second by Flood. The motion was unanimously passed. CONTRACTS Robinson explained that the two contracts that were on the agenda have been tabled by request of Metropolitan Development. Board of Works Minutes December 2, 2010 Page 2 of 2 BID AWARDS A. Robinson made a request to the board to award the bid for Fuel/Gasoline for 2011 to Harvest Land. Flood moved to award with a second by Lawson. The motion was unanimously passed. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business, on a motion duly made, seconded and passed unanimously.
