A RESOLUTION OF THE INCORPORATED CITY OF
LYNWOOD ESTABLISHING TAX DISTRICT NUMBER 1
OF SAID CITY, FIXING THE RATES, OF �TAXES,
� ,AND LEVYING TAXES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING
JULY l 1g59 AND ENDING JUNE 30. 1960.
, The City Council of the City of Lynwood, California, does
hereby resolve as fvllows:
Section l. Tax District No. 1. That for the purposes of
taxation, a'lI of that territory and lands lying and being in the cor=
porate,limits o£ the City of Lynwood, California, prior to February 1,
� 195g be known as and constitute Tax District No. 1 of said city.
Section 2. That the amount of money necessary to be raised
by taxation upon the taxable property within the corporate limits of
the City of Lynwood, County of Los Angelea, State of California, in
Tax District No..l of said city, to provde for carrying on the various
functions of municipal government in said city for the,fiscal year I
beginning July l, 1959 and ending June 30 lg6o is hereby fixed at �!,
the sumf of One Hundred Eighty-five Thousand One Hundred forty-one and
Forty One-hundredt'hs Dollars ($185,141.40).
•Section 3. That in addition to the amount of money neces-
sary to be raised as aforesaid, the amount of money necessary to be
raised by taxation upon the taxable property within the corporate
limits of said city in Tax District No. 1 of said city to provide for
the payment to the State Employeesr Retirement System according to the
terms of contract with the State of Cali£ornia for making the officials
and employees of the City of Lynwood members of the State Employeesr
. Retirement System, authority £or the execution of s'aid contract as
granted by Ordinance No. 426, adopted by a vote of the qualified
electors of the City of Lynwood. the 16th day of April for the
fiscal year beginning July l, 1959 and ending June 3.� lg6o ,'is hereby
_ flixed at the sum of Sixty-s'ix Thousand Three Hundred Seventy-three and
Seventy-two One-hundredths Dollars ($66,373.72).
�Section 4. That fbr the purposes of raising the sums of

money necessary to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property
within the city limits of said City of Lynwood as the revenue to carry
on the function of the various departments of said city, to provide
payment to State Employees� Retirement Fund as authorized. in Ordinance
No. 426, the rates of taxes are hereby fixed and taxes are hereby
levied on all taxable.property within the city limits of said city,
included. in Tax District Number 1 for the fiscal year beginning July 1,
1959.and ending June 30 i96o upon each $100.00 of the assessed value
of said property as assessed by the County Assessor and equalized by
the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles, State of
California, for the said fiscal year, as follows:

Section 5. •Pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No..6o8
adopted by the City Council of said- city on the 16.th day o£ February,
1954 the City Council does further resolve that the.City Treasurer
has filed with it a report that there is in the "Swimming Pool Bonds,
1954 Interest and Redemption Fund" of the treasury of said city, a
sum sufficient to pay the interest on said bonds as it falls due and
such part of the principal as will become due for the.fiscal year begin-
ning July 1, 1959 and, ending June 3b, 1960.
Section 6. The City Clerk is hereby directed to forward
immediately to the County Auditor-Controller of Los Angeles County a
certified copy of this resolution.
Section 7. That the City Clerk of said city shall certify
to the adoption of this resolution and cause the same to be published
once in the Lynwood Press, a weekly newspaper of general circulation,
� published and circulated in said City of Lynwood..
