CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO. 03-13
RESOLUTION GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO
ROLLING GREEN COUNTRY CLUB FOR A SWIMMING POOL AND
CABANA EXPANSION
WHEREAS, Rolling Green Country Club (the "Applicant") owns and operates a country
club facility located at 400 Evergreen Road in Medina (the "Subject Property"); and
WHEREAS, the Applicant constructed a new clubhouse and associated facilities
pursuant to Resolution No. 98-54 adopted on September 14, 1998; and
WHEREAS, the Applicant seeks permission through a supplemental conditional use
permit to construct a new swimming pool and expanded cabana on the Subject Property; and
WHEREAS, this matter was reviewed by the planning commission at its meeting on
March 11, 2003 and by the city council on April 1, 2003; and
WHEREAS, that the Applicant's proposed improvements to the Subject Property will
not adversely interfere with the use of neighboring sites for the purposes for which they are
zoned.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina,
Minnesota, that a supplemental conditional use permit be granted to the Applicant for the purpose
of constructing a new swimming pool and expanded cabana, subject to the following terms and
conditions'
1. Erosion and sediment control plans must be submitted to and approved by the city
engineer prior to the initiation of any construction;
2. All plans for site drainage must be approved by the city engineer and the watershed
district;
3. The Applicant must install and maintain lock boxes for the cabana and chemical building;
4. All exterior lighting fixtures must be downcast with all sides enclosed except the bottom
with the globe and light source not visible;
5. All exterior lighting on the Subject Property must meet ordinance standards, including
zero foot-candles at all property lines;

6. All plans must be submitted to and approved by the fire department;
7. The Applicant must provide the police and fire departments with a phone number for a
contact available 24 hours per day;
8. The pool must be reviewed by the state health department;
9. No connection shall be allowed between municipal water and private well water lines;
10. No connection shall be allowed to the sanitary sewer for pool drainage;
11. All pool chemicals must be stored in a secure area with an outside door properly marked
as chemical room;
12. The Applicant must comply with all requirements of the city engineer; and
13. The Applicant must pay to the city an administrative fee in the amount necessary to
reimburse the city for its costs to review this application.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Medina that this resolution shall supplement and not supersede Resolution No. 98-54.

and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:

None
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
