RESOLUTION N0. 2 855 • �
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CIRCULATION OF
PETITIONS REQUESTING THE ANNEXATION OF
- OZELL MANOR ANNEXATION N0. 9 TO THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD,
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Lynwood
did, on the lOth day of September 1958 recommend to the CitSr
Council that the unincorporated territory liounded by Atlantic Avenue
on the east, Thorson and' Hariis'Avenues on the weet, Fernwood Avenue
on the north, and Carlin Avenue on the south, be annexed. to the City
of Lynwood, and
WHEREAS, the Boundary Commission of the Count,y of Los
Angeles did on the 17th day of September 1958 approve the proposed
boundaries of said area as to definiteness and certainty, and
WHEREAS, on the 7th day of October 1958 the.City Council ,
of the City of Lynwood consented to the commencement of annexation
, proceedings to anne:c said territory, and
WHEREAS, on the 9th day of October 1958 there was filed
- - with the Gity,Clerk of the City of Lynwood an affidavit of publica-
tion that said notice o£ intention to circulate petitions relating to
the annexation of said territory to the City of Lynwood "was published
in the Herald American on the 9th day_of October, 1958
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that receipt of the affidavit
of publication is hereby acknowledged and approval is hereby given for
the circulation.of petitions for the annexation of said territory as
hereinafter described. ' '
That said territory is nereby designated as "Osell Manor I �
Annexation No..9," and is described as follows: I
. Beginning at the intersection of the boundary line of
the City of Lynwood, as said boundary line existed on
September 4 Z958 along the southerly line of the
Pacifir Electric Railway Companyts right of way, with
the center line o£ Atlantic Avenue, as said center
line is shown on map o£-Tract No. 8716, recorded in
Book 145, pages 63 and 64 of Maps, records of Los

• Angeles County, California; thence southerly along,.,,
said center line and continuing southerly along the
center line of Atlantic Avenue, as said center line
is shown on map of Tract No. 8242, recorded in Book
ll5, pages 55 and 56 of said Maps, to the southeasterly
corner of Lot 2, J. J. Bullis Tract, as shown on map
recorded in BooN_ 3, pages 612 and' 613 of Miscellaneous
records of said,Los Angeles County; thence westerly
along the southerly line of said Lot 2 to the easterly
boundary line of the City of Lynwooc� as such boundary
line existed on September 4 1958 thence northerly
along said boundary and following the same.in all its
various couraes to the point of beginning.
THat proceedings for the annexation o£ said territory
` shall be.in accordance with "The Annexation Act of 1913,�� as amendad.
