CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO.03-15
RESOLUTION VACATING POULIOT AVENUE
WHEREAS, the city of Medina (the "City") is the fee owner of the property located
generally west of Brockton Lane and south of Hamel Road known as Hamel Legion Park (the
"Property"); and
WHEREAS, the city is in the process of platting the Property to combine the existing
parcels into one lot; and
WHEREAS, the Hennepin County Examiner of Titles is requiring Pouliot Avenue to be
vacated prior to final approval of the plat of Hamel Legion Park Second Addition; and
WHEREAS, Pouliot Avenue is no longer needed for roadway purposes; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 412.851, the City has scheduled a public hearing to
consider the proposed vacation; and
WHEREAS, noticeof the public -hearing was-posted_-and_published- twice -in -the -official
newspaper at least 10 days before the hearing, all in accordance with law; and
WHEREAS, the City has this day held the public hearing on the proposed vacation, at
which hearing all interested parties were given the opportunity to be heard; and
WHEREAS, following the public hearing, the City has determined that the vacation of
Pouliot Avenue to be in the public interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the city of Medina,
Minnesota, as follows:
1. The City hereby declares Pouliot Avenue be vacated.

2. The administrator -clerk -treasurer is authorized and directed to prepare and present to
the Hennepin county auditor a notice that the City has completed these vacation
proceedings and request that the same be entered in the County's transfer records.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Lane and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof
Workman, Lane, Zietlow, Smith
and the following voted against same:
None.
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
