RESOLUTION N0. 2860
RESOLUTION OVERRULING PROTESTS AND DETERMINING
THAT THE CITY COUNCIL HAS ACQUIRED JURISDICTION
TO ORDER THE PROPOSED WORK OR IMPROVEMENT IN THE
MATTER OF THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE NORTA SIDE OF
ABBOTT ROAD BETWEEN SAN JUAN AVENUE AND SAN LUIS
AVENUE BY THE CONSTRUCTION OF CEMENT CONCRETE SIDEWALKS
TOGETHER WITH ALL INCIDENTAL AND APPURTENANT WORK,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood did on
the 7th day of October 1958 ad.opt its Resolution of Intention No.
2852 ordering the improvement of the north side of Abbott Road between
San Luis Avenue and San Juan Avenue by the construction of cement
'concrete sidewalks, together with all incidental and appurtenant work,
and
WHEREAS, Tuesday, the 5th day of November 1958 at the hour
of 7:3o p.m, at the Council Chambers in the City Hall in said City of
Lynwood was the time and place set in said Resolution of Intention
when and where any objections to the proposed work or improvement, or
to the extent o£ the district to be assessed, or to the grades to
which the work was proposed. to be done would be heard by said City
Council, and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk of said city has'heretofore pre-
sented and £iled an affidavit of publication of sa'id Resolution of
Intention, showing that the same was published according to law, and
WHEREAS, said City Clerk has also presented and £iled his
affidavit of mailing notices of the adoption of said Resolution of
Intention in the time, form, and manner, and to the persons, all as
provided by an Act of the Legislature of the State of California,
designated as Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code, and cited
as the "Improvement Act of 1911," and amendments thereto, and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer-Superintendent of Streets has
heretofore presented and filed an affidavit showing that notice of
the passage of said Resolution of Intention has been posted in the
manner provided by said Act, and
WHEREAS, at said hearing held on the 5th day of November,

1958 no protests were £iled against any�of the things proposed to
be done under said Resolution of Intention No. 285z.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Lynwood that the said City Counc3l has acquired full
jurisdiction to order the proposed work or improvement.
