RESOLUTION ORDERING THE WORK AND DIRECTING THE
CITY CLERK TO GIVE NOTICE INVITING BIDS IN THE
MATTER OF THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE NORTH SIDE OF
ABBOTT ROAD BETWEEN S�N LUIS AVENUE AND SAN JUAN
AVENUE BY THE CONSTRUCTION OF CEMENT CONCRETE
SIDEWALKS, TOGETHER WITH ALL INCIDENTAL AND
APPURTENANT WORK.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lynwood
as follows:
Section l. In the opinion of said City Council the public
interest and convenience require,�and said City Council having
acquired jurisdiction so to do, the following work or improvement is
hereby ordered to be done, to wit;
The necessary gradino and the construction of cement concrete
sidewalks, including all incidental and appurtenant work on the north
side of Abbott Road between the southerly prolongation.of the center .
line of San Luis Avenue and the southerly prolongation of the center
line o£ San Juan Avenue in Tract No. 5975 as recorded in Book 76,
Pages 22 and 23 of Maps, Records of Los Angeles County, as more par-
ticularly described in Resolution of Intention No. z852.
Section 2. All of the work or improvement aforesaid shall
be done as contemplated in Resolution of Intention No. 2852 of the
City Council of said city, and to Plans and Specifications No. 1958-P-3
to which reference is hereby made for further particulars.
Section 3. Said proposed work or improvement, in the opinion
of said City Council, is of more than local or ordinary public benefit
and said City Council hereby determines and declares that the district
to be benefited by said- work and improvement, and to b'e assessed. to
pay the costs and expenses thereof is particularly described in Reso-.
lution of Intention No. 2852. Reference is hereby made to said
Resolution of Intention and to Plan No. 1958 for further particulars
as to the extent of the assessment district.
Section 4. The proceedings for the aforesaid work and
improvement shall be had and taken under an Act of the Legislature of
the State of California designated as the Streets and Highways Code,

Division 7, and cited as the "Improvement Act of 1911," and amend-
ments thereto.
Section 5. The City Council hereby determines and declares
that serial bonds shall be issued in the form and manner provided
in said aforementioned Act, bearing interest at the rate of six (6)
per centum per annum to represent each assessment of twenty-five dollars
($25.00) or over, remaining unpaid for thirty days after the date of
warrant, Said serial bonds shall extend over a period end.ing nine
years from the second. day of January next succeeding the next
October 15th following their date. Said bonds and, interest thereon I
shall be paid at the office o£ the City Treasurer of said city and
shall be disbursed. by him, all as provided in said Act. I
Section 6. The City Clerk shall cause to be published a I
notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for doing the above described I
work or improvement in the time, form, and manner required by law.
