RESOLUTION N0. 2870
RESOLUPION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF'THE CITY OF ,
LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF SUPPLEMENTAL
GARBAGE AP1D RUBBISH CONTRACT..
i�JHEREAS, recent developments in collection methods and
quality of service have,made it necessary and desirable to improve
� present standards of rubbish collection service in the City of
Lynwood, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds the following specific
improvements to rubbish collection service necessary and desirable:
" 1. Increasing the weight limits per conta.sner for
combustible and noncombustible rubbish from fifty pounds (50 lbs.)
to eighty pounds (80 lb.),
2. Providing clean and uniform attire for all employees
of the contractor engaging in the actual collection service,
3. Providing for the use of new packer-type equipment
of the modern mechanical type tivith mechanical loader, and painted

4. Providing for combined collection of garbage and
rubbish once weekly with one additional collection of garbage
only each r>>eek, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that in return for
the impro�ient of collection service, Contractor is entitled
to additional compensation commensurate with the additional costs
of providing such service.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Lynwood that the supplemental a�reement attached hereto
is hereby approved and the Mayor of the City is hereby authorized
." to execute said agreement for and on behalf of the City of Lynwood.
