;A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO C�L,L A
SPECIAL ELECTION IN CERTAIN INHABITED TERRI-
TORY CONTIGUOUS TO S�ID CITY PROPOSED TO BE
ANNEXED THERETO, FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUBMITTING
TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS RESIDING IN SAID TER-
RITORY THE QUESTION WHETHER OR.NOT S�ID TERRI-
TORY SHALL BE ,�NNE7CED TO THE CITY OF LYNWOOD,
AND FIXING A TIME AND PLACE•WHEN AND WF�RE �1NY
PERSON OWNING REAL PROPERTY WITHIN SUCH TERRI-
� TORY MAY APPEAR BEFORE SAID CITY COUNCIL �iND

BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lynwood
� as follows:
Section 1. It is the intention of the City Council of the
City of Lynwood to call a special election for the purpose of sub-
mitting to the qualified electors residing in certain inhabited ter-
ritory contiguous to said city the question whether or not said ter-
ritory shall be annexed to the City of Lynwood.
Section 2. That said. territory hereby is designated and
identified for such election purposes and for use upon the ballots
at such election as "Ozell Manor Annexation No. 9" and is d.escribed
as follows: �
Beginning at the intersection of the boundary line of
the City of Lynwood, as said boundary line existed on
September 4 Z958 along the southerly line of the
Pacific Electric Railway Companyts right of way, with
the center line of Atlantic Avenue, as said center line
is shown on map of Tract No. 8716 recorded 3n Book 145,
pages 63 and 64 of Maps, records of Los Angeles County,
California; thence southerly along said center line and
continuing southerly along the center line of Atlantic
Avenue, as said center line is shown on map o£ Tract
No. 8242, recorded in Book•115, pages 55 and. 56 of said
Maps, to the southeasterly corner of Lot 2, J. J. Bullis
Tract, as shown on map recorded in Book 3, pages 612
and. 613 of Miscellaneous Records of said Los Angeles

County; thenee westerly along the southerly line
of said Lot 2 to the easterly boundary line of the
City of Lynwood as such boundary line existed on
September 4 1958 ;.thence northerly along said.
boundary and following the same in all its various
courses to the point of beginning.
Section 3�. Notice is hereby given that the City Council
of the City of Lynwood will conduct a public hearing on said proposed
annexation on the 20th day of January 1959 at the hour of 7:30 p.m.
in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, 11330 Bullis Road-, Lynwood,
California. At any time not later than the hour set for hearing
objections to the election, any owner of property within said terri-
tory so proposed to be annexed and having any objections to the pro-
posed annexation may make a written protest against the election.
Such protest must be in writing and shall state the name or names of
the owner or owners of the property affected by such annexation and
the location and area of such property in general terms. If it be
£ound that protest is not made by owners of a ma�ority of the separate
parcels of property within the territory proposed to be annexed, I
further proceedings shall be taken in accordance with the law for
the holding o£ such special election.
Section 4. -The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution and is hereby directed. to cause a copy o£ same to be
published once a week for the two weeks prior to said hearing in the
Herald American, a newspaper of general circulation, published outside
�� of the City of Lynwood but within the County of Los Angeles, and- cir-
culated_ within the said territory proposed to be annexed.
