Home My Public Portal About2841 (08-26-58) RESOLUTION N0. 2841 A RESOLUTION OF THE INCORPORATED CITY OF LYNWOOD ESTABLISHING TAX DISTRICT NUMBER 1 OF SAID CITY, FIXING THE RATES�OF TAXES,.AND LEVYING TAXES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1 1958 AND ENDING JUNE j0 1959• � - The City Council of the City of Lynwood, California, does hereby resolve as follows: Section l. Tax District No. l. That for the purposes of taxation, all of that territory and lands lying and being in the corporate limits of the City of Lynwood, California, prior to February l, 1958 be known as and constitute Tax District No. 1 of said city. Section 2. That the amount of money necessary to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property within the corporate limits o£ the City of Lynwood, County of Los Angeles, State of California, in Tax District No. 1 of said city, to provide for carrying on the various functions of municipal government in said city for the fiscal year beginning July l;'1958 and end.ing June 3� 1959 is hereby £ixed at the sum of One Hundred Ninety-eight Thousand. Two Hundred Ninety-six , i and Fifty=seven One-hundredths Dollars ($i98, � - Section 3. That in add.ition to the amount of money neces- sary to be raised as aforesaid., the amount of money necessary to be raised. by taxation upon the taxable property within the corporate limits of said city in Tax District No. l of said city to provide for the payment to the State Employeest Retirement System according to the terms of contract with the State of California for making the officials and. employees of the City of Lynwood members of the State Employeesr - Retirement-System, authority for the execution of"said coritraot as granted by Ord.inance No. 426, adopted. by a vote of the qualified electors of the City of Lynwood. the 16th day of April 1946 for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1958 and. end.ing June 30 i959 is�hereby fixed at the sum of Forty-nine Thousand, Sixty-seven and. Sixty-five One Hundredths Dollars ($49 ,067.65). � � �- -1- � Section 4. That for the.purposes of raising the sums of money necessary to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property within the city limits of said City of Lynwood as,the revenue to carry,on the functionaof the various d-epartments of said city; to provide payment to State EmployeesC Retirement Fund. as authorized in Ordinance No. 426, the rates of taxes are hereby fixed and taxes are � hereby. levied- on all taxable property within the city limits of said city, included in Tax District Number 1 for the fiscal year beginning July l, 1958 and ending June 3� 1959 upon each $100.00 of the assessed value of said property as assessed by the County Assessor and equalized _ `T by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles, State of California, for the said fiscal year, as follows: F For General Purposes $0.43 For Cityxs contribution to _ State Retirement Fund . Pursuant to the provisions'of Ordinance No. 608, adopted by the City Council of said city on the 16th day of February, 1g54 the City CounciT does further resolve that the City Treasurer has filed with it a report that there is in the "Swimming Poo1 Bonds, Z954 Interest and Redemption Fund." of the treasur�y of said city, a � sum sufficient to pay the interest on said bonds as it falls due and such part of,the principal as will�become due for the fiscal year beginning July l, 1958 and- ending.,June 3� 1 959• Section 6. The City,Clerk is hereby directed to forward immediately to the County Auditor-Controller of Los Angeles County;a µ_ certif,ied copy of this_ resolution. Section 7.
