RESOLUTION N0. 2847
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD PROVIDING FOR MUTUAL AID OF THE
POLICE DEPARTMENT SERVICES, �
The City Council of the City of Lynwood does resolve as
follows: �
Section l. That pursuant to the provisions of Section
156z Military and Veterans Code, the Police Chief of the City.of
Lynwood., or in his absence or inability to act, then his authorized
representative be, and. he is hereby authorized. and directed to use
the equipment and personnel o£ his department, or the equipment and
personnel o£ the City of Lynwood Police Department under his super-
vision or control, or such part thereo£ as and when he deems it neces-
sary or advisable, for the purpose of cooperating with the Police
Department of any neighboring city of any county within the lst
Regional District o£'the State of California, Civil Defense Region,
and other uninoorporated territory within said Regional District, in
the event of an emergency.
Section 2, The mutual aid authority by Section 1 of this
resolution shall be given provided that such other municipality or
county police district shall have made a similar reciprocal agreement
to furnish similar service to the City of Lynwood under like conditions,
such arrangement to be evidenced either by a certified copy of a reso-
lution or ordinance of its legislative body substantially the same as
this resolution, or by other appropriate written evidence of such
arrangement, filed with the Chief o£ the Police Department of the City
of Lynwood.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
' this resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in
