PLANNING COMMISSION SPECIAL JOINT MEETING MINUTES
TUESDAY, MARCH 23, 2010
1. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Vizcarra called the City Council, Community Redevelopment Agency and Planning Commission
Special Joint Meeting to order at 6:33 p.m. in the Council Chambers located at 5938 Kauffman Avenue,
Temple City.

3. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Temple City resident Janice Helmer led those present in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
4. PUBLIC COMMENTS — None
5. REDEVELOPMENT 101 PRESENTATION
City Manager Pulido stated this is the second of two workshops aimed at educating the Council and
Planning Commission and the community regarding redevelopment. On March 4, the workshop was
primarily on corridor planning opportunities along Las Tunas Drive. He introduced Libby Seifel, of Seifel
Consulting Inc. who will provide information of the best resources to move forward with a comprehensive
redevelopment plan and how that applies specifically to Temple City.
Ms. Seifel's power point presentation included the following:
a) An overview presentation of redevelopment in California;
b) Status update on the Temple City Community Redevelopment Agency's existing project area;
and
c) Options to extend the life of the existing project area, extend the boundaries, and /or create
new project areas.
Ms. Seifel responded to questions from the Council, Commission and members of the public.

6. ADJOURNMENT
The Special Joint Meeting was adjourned at 8:15 p.m. in honor and in memory of Mr. John Zubrick,
Temple City resident and Chamber Board Member.
