RESOLUTION N0. 2827
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
'. LYNWOOD,_CALIFORNIA DETERMINING THAT THE PUBLIC-
INTEREST, CONVENIENCE,.AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE
FORMATION OF A VEHICLE PARKING DISTRICT IN SAID
CITY, SUBSTANTIALLY AS SET FORTH IN THE REPORT
ON FILE AND DETERMINING THE PROJECT FEASIBLE.
' (VEHICLE PARKING DISTRICT N0. 2).
WHEREAS, petitions under the Vehicle Parking Act of 194j,
as amended, for the creation of a Vehicle.Parking District weie £iled
in the office of the City Clerk o£ this City Council on or about
April 25 1958 and said petitions.were duly signed by the requisite
�' number of qualified signers, and
' WHEREAS, this City Council by Resolution No. 2803 ordering
a report under'the Special As'sessment Investigation, Limitation and
Majority Protest Act of 1931 as amended, on the acquisition proposed
in said petition;,and
WHEREAS, said report was duly filed, and by Resolution No.�
_ 2810 this City Council approved said.report and fixed a time and place
o£ hearing thereon, and
WHEREAS, notice of said hearing was mailed as required by
said Investigation Act, and
WHEREAS, said hearing was held at the time and place so
" fixed and a't said time and place was duly concluded, and
WHEREAS, all oral and written protests have been duly
heard and all persons desiring to be heard on said report or upon
said project have been.heard,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood,
California, does hereby resolve, determine, and order as £ollows:
Seetion l. That said report contains all the matters and
things required by law and tYiat notice of hearing upon proposed
project generally described therein has been duly and regularly given.
Section 2. That the protests filed are not made by the
owners of one-half (1/2) of the property to be.assessed for the pro-
posed acquisition anc3 that there is no majority protest against only
a portion of the proposed acquisition:

Section 3. That all protests and objections both oral
and in writing, filed. and made orally in said matter, be and the same
are hereby overruled and denied.
Section 4. That the public interest, convenience, and
necessity require the acquisition substantially as set £orth in the
report, and the project is feasible and this City Council determines
to proceed und.er the Vehicle Parking District Act of 1943, as amended,
to £orm a vehicle parking district in the City of Lynwood, and to
make the acquisition substantially as set forth in said report on
file and described in said petition on file.
